Stop foreclosure program
Are you one of those people who are drowning in financial trouble? If you are, then you need not worry because there are options available to you to stop foreclosure before your home actually is foreclosed. Just because you are in foreclosure or pre-foreclosure does not mean you are a lazy person, it just means that you have some trouble handling your finances. There could have been an illness or death in your family, you or your spouse could have lost a job, even the birth of a child can spin finances out of control. There are a number of valid reasons why your finances are completely distorted, but, not to worry, there is help available.
If you are only a couple of payments behind, the company that gave you your mortgage may be willing to put a deferment or hold on your payment for a couple of months. This will, of course, extend your mortgage, but it may give you time to get a better grasp on your finances. Plus, for a fee, you can always get finance counseling who will help you in doing this. These finance counselors will also help you learn how to better handle your finances.
The way payment deferment helps is that it will allow you to either catch up on your other bills, even the unexpected ones, or at least allow you to work on getting your money saved back up so as you are better able to make payments.
Another way to stop your foreclosure is to work with the company in charge of the foreclosure. They may be able to offer you a many resources that will help you. One is being able to consolidate or bundle some or all of your debt into one lower monthly payment. One problem a lot of people have is that they have so much debt to pay off and no way to do it. Consolidating your debts will allow you to work on all of them with one payment.
Foreclosure companies may also offer you a high risk loan. This is a loan that is given to you even if you are in financial trouble. The loan is based on the assets you have and can bring you up to date on the payments that have brought you to foreclosure. In the long run you will have smaller monthly payments which will allow you to climb out of the financial hole you have fallen into.
The main thing to do to stop foreclosure is to not let it overtake you. You can find aid no matter what your trouble is, you just have to take the time to look for it. Don't ignore the phone calls or letters, just talk to the people and they will help you.
