Stop foreclosure option
Your home is in foreclosure, or pre-foreclosure. You feel like another statistic of the poor job market or the financial crisis that is our current economy. Does this make you the bad guy in the financial arena? Not necessarily. There are ways in which you can salvage perhaps your equity in your home, your current credit rating and if not the home, then at least your ability to purchase another one in the very near future, but not, if you do nothing and sit patiently on your hands waiting for some divine intervention.
What are your options and how can you best deal with the financial problems which are rapidly coming to a head? There are many options to stop foreclosure. Most, if not all will require some creative thinking, some real action and a desire to work your way through the problems which are currently plaguing you financially.
Some of the things that may be considered:
* A short term loan from a family or friend:. While this may not be the ideal solution, it is often an option that we don't explore… Typically the interest rates will be less when the money is borrowed from a friend of family member and it is easier to repay because they are more willing to be understanding than financial institutions.
* Borrowing from a foreclosure loan: This is a solution that may save your home and credit, but is typically not the best solution, in that foreclosure loans, by virtue of the fact that they are given to people with less than perfect credit, will be far more costly in the end. Traditionally the interest rates are somewhere between 12 and 14% on this type loan, and it does raise the payments considerably, which fact should be mentioned since the reason you need it is because you could not meet current payments.
Whatever you do to attempt to prevent foreclosure, do it wisely and with research.
There are vast storehouses of assistance and knowledge both offline and online, and many groups who are waiting to aid you in recovery from this financial disaster. There are also those groups who are waiting to take full advantage of your distress and financial problems. Do be careful when you choose someone to assist you. Research the group or individual and remember the old adage. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
